Whereas the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., recognizes a serious existing hazard in the movement of such farm equipment as irrigation pipe, portable elevators, large folding farm tools, combines, and even CB antenna under electric power lines;
Whereas these lines may be commonly found crossing the farm yard, coming from one side of the road to the other;
The National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc. does hereby encourage the American Society of Agricultural Engineers to develop, devise, or promote a system, plan, standards, or other means for the reduction of elimination of the above mentioned hazards;
Further it would seem reasonable, should such action, as requested above, be taken, that an educational program may be essential to the successful execution of a hazard-reducing program. The National Institute for Farm Safety does hereby indicate its willingness to participate in such an educational effort;
Further the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., petitions each and all ASAE committees which may have considered or initiated work toward a solution of the aforementioned problem for a statement of the present status of their activity in that direction, such report to be available to the National Institute for Farm Safety before its next meeting date in early October 1977.
